The Office of DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder is primarily responsible for maintaining all vital records of the County. The Clerk issues birth, marriage, and death certificates for County residents, computes taxes, and records and reviews all County property transactions. The Clerk’s office also is responsible for the administration and review of all County elections.
Next year represents a challenging budget year for County government, and taxpayers deserve to see how their money is being spent. I will draw on my background in management and finance to ensure tax dollars are spent wisely, and use new, efficient technology to make the office transparent and provide information to you, the taxpayer.
I want to continue to bring, and improve the resources of the Clerk’s office online, digitizing documents and automating many of the office functions so that County residents can access their government from their personal computers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
At Hanover Township I have helped make our government a leader in customer service and technology. It is important to bring the services of the office to you, and be responsive to your needs. I will continue to ensure professional and prompt customer service connecting you to your government.
