Not registered to vote?
Registration is simple

You can register to vote from home, or in person. Please use the resources to the left that will guide you through the process of registering to vote by mail, or in person at the DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder's Office. The deadline to register to vote is 28 days prior to an election.

Need an Absentee Ballot?
Apply for an Absentee Ballot

Use the resources located on the left side of this page to download the necessary application to apply for an absentee ballot. If you wish to vote absentee for the November 2, 2010, General Election you will need to complete all the information on the form (link to the left) that applies to you.  (b) make sure you sign and return the form to the County Clerk’s office on or before November 2, 2010. When your application is received you will be sent a ballot to the mailing address you specify on your application. In order for the ballot to be counted on Election Day, the ballot must be postmarked by midnight the DAY BEFORE the election. (November 1, 2010).

Early voting allows voters to cast a ballot before the election.  The period to vote early is 22 days prior to the election until 5 days prior to the election. Early voting is conducted at  the DeKalb County Legislative Center located at 150 N. Main Street, Sycamore, IL 60178   Early Voting and Absentee Voting by mail are not the same thing. You may only be mailed an absentee ballot.  The ballot is the same whether voting absentee, early or at the polling place on election day.
